Members of our professional staff have met state and national requirements and attained the highest level of preparation for hearing health care service delivery. Our patients can be confident that our professionals are qualified to administer comprehensive hearing health care services.
Robert W. Foster
BC-HIS

Robert W. Foster, BC-HIS, graduated from Defiance High School in 1986. He received his BA from The University of Toledo in 1990. Mr. Foster started his professional career working as a Licensed Social Worker in Mental Health and also worked several years as a LSW in a nursing home. Mr.Foster came to hearing health care in 1999 when he was hired by Defiance Hearing Aid Center. In June of 2000 he achieved his Ohio State Hearing Aid license. By May of 2002 he passed the National Boards to obtain BC-HIS status. He is a member of the Hearing Healthcare Alliance of Ohio. Mr. Foster has benefited from the many years of experience of our staff, while also bringing certain aspects of his past experience to help provide the kind of quality care we hope to achieve. He provides service in our Defiance, Bryan and Bowling Green offices.
Robert Plassman
BC-HIS


Robert Plassman, BC-HIS, became a Hearing Instrument Specialist in 1976 and has served his entire career with the Defiance Hearing Aid Center. Born and raised in Henry County, he graduated from Napoleon High School in 1972. In 1976 he received his Bachelor of Science in Communications Degree from Ohio University in Athens, Ohio. He became Board Certified in Hearing Instrument Sciences in 1983, and is a member of the International Hearing Society and the Hearing Healthcare Alliance of Ohio. Rob provides service in our Defiance, Napoleon and Wauseon offices. Rob and his wife Nancy, live in Defiance. They have three children

Terri Samuelson
M.S CCC-A


Terri Samuelson, MS CCC-A, graduated from Bowling Green State University in May of 1990 with a Bachelor of Education with the emphasis of Speech Pathology and Audiology. In August of 1991, she graduated from Bowling Green State University with a Master of Science in Audiology. After graduation, she was employed by St Rita's Medical Center from September 6, 1991, to July 2, 2001. Terri worked as a clinical audiologist performing hearing evaluations, ENG's, ABR's, infant hearing assessments, intra operative monitoring, dispensing hearing instruments and assistive listening devices. Terri has worked with the Defiance Hearing Aid Center since 1992. She works as a staff audiologist performing hearing evaluations and fitting hearing instruments or assistive listening devices. She is currently a member of ASHA, AAA and the Hearing Healthcare Alliance of Ohio.

John Samuelson
BC-HIS

John Samuelson, BC-HIS, graduated from Bowling Green State University in December of 1990 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education. Upon completion of college, John joined the Defiance Hearing Aid Center in January of 1991. John became licensed in the state of Ohio to dispense hearing instruments in 1992 and became Board Certified in June of 1995. He is a member of the Hearing Healthcare Alliance of Ohio and serves as a trustee on the board.
He also attends several conferences per year to stay current with the latest improvements in the hearing health care field. John provides service in our Defiance, Bryan and Bowling Green offices.
